How does a hail damage repair work?
Our dent repair technician will first assess the hail damage. If the paintwork is undamaged, there is no need for filling or repainting. In this case, the cost-effective option of dent removal can be considered.
This process removes dents and bumps from the vehicle with virtually no residue. In accessible areas, such as the bonnet, we use special curved levers. We use these levers to apply pressure to the metal of the car part in order to restore it to its original condition.
In hard-to-reach areas, the adhesive method is used. Our dent repair technicians use hot glue to attach a pulling eye to the dent and carefully pull it out with a pulling hammer.

How does a hailstorm form?
Hail formation is always associated with thunderclouds and very violent turbulence. In developing thunderclouds, the water vapour in the rising air condenses into water droplets or ice grains, depending on the temperature conditions. These are carried upwards by the updraft. Heavier particles, such as larger water droplets or hailstones, can only be kept suspended or even driven upwards by the air masses if the updraft is very strong. This is why hailstones form, on average, in only one in ten thunderstorms.
